A brand new Boris video has been released today on youtube. It's a vocal solo rendition of the Crosby Stills and Nash masterpiece Helplessy Hoping.

The video has been created by italian filmmaker Gianfranco Gaioni, aka Director Kobayashi, and it's based on a Boris vocal solo arrangement written for the Swiss Radio Network Rete Due on the program Chronicle on 69.

Boris, as we all already know, has always been very much into electronics and experimentation. Thanx to his peculiar approach to new devices to work on his voice he started out a very interesting collaboration with the most important italian engineering university: the Milan Politecnico.
Thanx to the precious help and support of professor Augusto Sarti (professor at the Politecnico in Milan and at the University of California in Davis), Bruno di Giorgi and Massimiliano Zanoni (PHD researcher at the Politecnico) and Eventide music, Boris is workin on some brand new and innovative 3D music controller to work in real time on vocal signal. Very interesting news are coming in the next months.

Few days ago, in Russia, a Boris' brand new album with Feelin's band was released by russian label Butman Records. The album is dedicated to one of the most influential russian poets of all times: Sergey Esenin.

The album, composed by 8 tracks, has been sung by Boris in italian, english and russian. Russian Jazz master saxophonist Igor Butman appears, as special guest, on a live track.

On october the 2nd, at the Russian Writers Union Building in Moscow, Boris and the Feelin's quartet won the Award at the Sergey Esenin International Literature Awards in the section called: "The Sung Word" for their Esenin In Jazz project, with Esenin lyrics sung in Jazz style.

Boris will be part of what is called by italian newpapers, the "italian jazz Woodstock". A super 12 hours concert created and directed by italian acclamed trumpet player Paolo Fresu.

Boris will perform his vocal solo show at 12 oclock on sunday september the 6 in Piazza Chiarino, opening the shows that will continue 'till midnight.

This is a benefit big event to help people from Aquila, hitted by a terrible heartquacke in 2009 and still under reconstruction, to be remembered and helped by institutions

Boris last tour in Russia, in july 2015, with Feelin's Quartet and their project dedicated to russian poet Sergey Esenin in jazz landed to one of the biggest russian jazz festival: Sochi Jazz Festival.

A great success for the two gigs on july 16 and 17.

Boris is Artist in Residency at the Beishan World Music Festival in Zhuhai, China, on april 18 and 19 2015. The Festival asks Boris to write his personal arrangements on 3 traditional chinese songs.

Of these 3 songs, one will be performed in vocal solo while the other 2 songs will be played by Boris and some chinese musicians.

Then, after Beishan Festival, Boris will flight to Indonesia for a brief tour of concerts and masterclasses.

After his long time endorsement with Blue Microphones and connection with Boomerang Looper, Boris is now endorser for legendary Eventide Pedals. The brand new H9 is used by Boris both in studio and live and he took part as Beta Tester for the new Looper Algo soon available

Boris will start a brand new series of Vocal Solo concerts around the world from september

From sept. 12 'till 23 Boris will perform in China and Hong Kong to sing, among others, at the Hong Kong International Jazz Festival and at the Beishan International Jazz Festival.

In october he will be guest at the biggest asian jazz festival: the Jarasum Jazz Festival on the Jarasum island in South Korea.

In november Boris will perform again in Russia with italian guitarist Walter Beltrami at the Krasnodar Jazz Festival and Muzenergo Festival in Dubna.

It's offical: a brand new duo composed by Boris Savoldelli and Boston based guitarist and Berklee teacher Garrison Fewell is ready to release a new album available from september 25.

The album, produced by american label CNM-Creative Nation Music is titled Electric Bat Conspiracy

Few days ago, the SADO side project band named Mhmm has released a new album titled Do Not Disturb, a Blues Core Project in classical VINYL with a package that contains a cd backup copy of the master.
The album has been produced by the new italian-English label Banksville!!
